And So Begins Another School Year...

It's that time again. School is (finally) back in session.

Rea's now in Pre-K. And she could not be more excited about it! Open House was a success. Rea's teachers both seem very sweet. And somehow we managed to get in with a LOT of friends - a very nice surprise!

That's nervous grumpy... =)

Rocking like crazy with T in class!
I know you can't tell, but Rea's got great friends at her table!

She looks pretty happy here. =)

One of Rea's table friends, Abs... Rea bolted out of the picture. Stinker.

And all of a sudden, it was time for school to start!

Reagan, who almost never eats breakfast, requested pancakes this morning. And not just any pancakes, Star Wars pancakes. I tried, but they didn't turn out well. The pancakes stuck to the character molds and I was unable to get them off. In hindsight I should've used nonstick spray. Oh well. We settled for regular pancakes - with chocolate chips =)
They were yummy.

Rea thought my generic sign needed a little decorating.

Daddy & Rea on their way in for the first day of class!

Boyfriend & Shel are in Rea's class! Woo hoo!

Clearly Rea is not a morning person.
She relaxed and began quietly coloring.

After early pick up, a group of friends went out for food. And the munchkins ran around in the hot FL sun to get rid of some of that energy!
Goof balls.
All of the kids at lunch... at one point they each had a piece of technology in front of them. Ray Bradbury would be horrified.

2 sweet girls!

Little Shel =)

C cracks me up!

Refusing to look at Mommy for a pic.

B having a mild meltdown... the heat was getting to everyone, not to mention lack of naps.

Awesome group of monsters.

Seriously, no idea what's up with this face?!

Happy Birthday Aunt Jack!

It's funny, as I write this it is actually my cousin's birthday. August is a big month for my fam: one sister, one brother-in-law, three cousins, and a few friends.

So, as I promised forever ago, I have pics from Jack's birthday. As you may know, she graced PB county with her presence. And we partied like rock stars (really lame rock stars). That is not to say that we didn't have fun. Shane and I had a great time when we took Jack to a great local sushi place, Ra. And her birthday dinner at the Cheesecake Factory was quite delish. Nothing comes close to the awesome elephant cake party at Mom's house though.

Apparently I only took pics of the actual birthday dinner and cake party. Oh well, let the photo montage begin.

Rea is watching Harry Potter... God bless the iPad!

Can you find Ri? He's in this pic... I promise.

La La & the birthday girl

Why hello Ri! Cutest onsie. Actually the other Aunt bought it for him. But it was appropriate.

Pop's #1 girl - this photo is dedicate to Aunt Amy.
This concludes the dinner portion of our evening. Please join us at Mom's house for cake and presents.

Jack's cake had no icing... she doesn't like it. Crazy girl.
Our cake had plenty of icing... =)

Thank goodness it's an election year! Elephant lollipops!

And again!

Ri giving Jack a big sticky birthday kiss

And again!
Yes, Jack has a thing for elephants. So, Steph has a collection of snow globes!

Happy birthday Jack! Thanks for coming home so we could celebrate with you! We love you!

Scattered Stus

Our schedule has been full - or at least it has felt that way - but by the photos (or lack of) that I have, it doesn't look like we've done much.

In the past week or so, Shane has come back from being at Bible camp, Rea took a sample gymnastics class, Ri was de-Biebered, I read the 50 Shades series and we worked. It has been a busy few weeks, but not much seemed "photo worthy".

Our future Olympian

Oh Zach, you are so pretty.

NOOOO.... I will not cuddle with Aunt Steph =)

Impossible to tell if Rea liked my spaghetti

Cutest helper in the frame shop

Silly snuggle-bugs happy to have Daddy home

I'm famous! -- That's me on the bottom left with Cameron Wake (Miami Dolphins).

Justin Bieber, I mean Buddy Stu before his haircut.

Buddy after his haircut... I am really digging the blue mohawk!

Speaking of hawks, here's our hawk ripping a frog to shreds. That'll teach the frogs to swim in our pool!
I look forward to having more interesting posts, stories and pics this week - my sister is coming to town, well actually both sisters are. It's almost Jack's bday. Woo hoo! Bring on the delicious food and awesome Dad stories!
