Lion Country Safari

This morning we went to Lion Country Safari with Jules, J & Meg (the kids call her Maggie). I had never been there before. Rea went once ("when she was 3") with Grammie. Rea was super excited to go back... Ri just wanted to see Maggie. In fact, it was the promise of seeing Maggie that got Ri dressed and out the door this morning.

We paid (a LOT) and drove through the safari. It is expensive, but it is pretty awesome.

The lions were actually awake! It was pretty cool to see them up and moving since they sleep for almost 20 hours each day. They were the only animals that had a separation fence between them and us... this upset Rea who wanted to see them up close and personal.

The ostriches were feeling frisky. These two were playing a game of tag.

Zebras! There were "like a million" according to Rea.

The rhinos are HUGE! And they wander in and out of cars like we aren't even there. It was cool!

And the safari ends with my personal faves: GIRAFFES!!! YAY!
Look at that tall one! 16 feet!! He makes the others look so small.

After the drive-thru safari, we parked and went in the amusement park.

Ril would have ridden the train all day if we had let him.
The kids got to feed some sheep. Then Maggie took them into the petting zoo.

The highlight of Rea's morning was riding a camel. She talked about it for most of the safari and asked incessantly for it until we finally made it over there.

The camel's name is Sam.

It was totally impossible to get the 3 munchkins together for a photo. Oh well.

Merry-Go-Rounds are always a crowd pleaser!

The last thing we did was the ferris wheel. Only 4 peeps to each gondola, so our group was split up.

Thanks Jules, J & Maggie for a really fun day! We LOVED it!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Rea has been on spring break all week... and she desperately misses her friends from school. So we called and invited a few friends to go to the baseball stadium with us for an afternoon ball game. I discussed my plan to take a handful of 4 yr olds and their families to a game with our stadium rep.

On Thursday night, I got an email from Chris telling me that he secured a suite for us. Sa-weet! This was going to be the PERFECT setup ~ the kids could run around and yet be mildly contained in one spot.

It was a GREAT day! We had so much fun with our friends. Shane loved the game (he was the only one to sit outside and watch it). I loved chatting with my Mommy friends. The kids seem to love everything but the actual game. =)

2 of the jerseys we did for Roger Dean Stadium - hanging in the suite! Awesome!

Ri thinks he is such hot stuff.

"The Friends" - C, D, Rea & B - Rea looks like she is keeping track of the stats of the game.

Beautiful day for a game!

Jumping on the couch is so much more fun than sitting still watching a game.

Love this!!

And of course we had to stop and take pics in front of our pillar! It looks fantastic!

Thanks Devon for taking great pics - and sharing them!

Long & Wonderful Day

Yesterday we went the park with one of my greatest friends and her son J. The weather was beautiful - It was one of those mornings that makes people up north really angry. The sun was shining, there was a great breeze coming from off the ocean, only a handful of white, fluffy clouds.

The kids had a great time at the playground. Jules and I hardly spoke to each other there... it's difficult to carry on a conversation when your little ones keep taking off in different directions.

** I accidentally deleted all of the photos from the park before saving them on the computer. Oops. **

The Mommies were able to catch up on the latest gossip over lunch.

The kids spent the afternoon with their grandma. She has been out of town for over a week; they missed her.

And my afternoon? Well, I photographed the Cam Wake & Aaron Hernandez signing event at Palm Beach Autographs. It was tons of fun!

Cam Wake & me

Ri was uncooperative & Rea only wanted to be held by Uncle Steve - the guy in the middle is Aaron Hernandez.
